Dr. Jennifer Baez
Dr. Baez leads the Teacher Love Project Initiative under the umbrella of the Promise Group as the Executive Director of Promise Informed Schools. She is developing, operationalizing, and leading the TLP initiative with a focus on strategic development and training with the goal of enhancing teacher performance and wellness, cultivating positive climate and culture practices, and fostering strong community partnerships to support educational excellence. Dr. Baez holds a PhD in K-16 Educational Policy and Leadership, bringing extensive experience as a seasoned school administrator and adjunct professor to this initiative.

JOHN HARRIS
Six years ago, Mr. Harris brought his wife and children to the SC Lowcountry, driven by a divine calling from Augusta, Georgia. He discovered a profound purpose: to "bridge the gaps" and unite men as leaders in their communities. As the WNC Berkeley County Executive Director of Gospel Engagement, John is committed to fostering empathy and unity. His mission for the 2024-25 school year is to rally churches and the community around the Teacher Love Project, addressing the overlooked stress and challenges teachers face. John believes that supporting teachers is not only decent but essential, aiming to enhance teacher morale, improve school performance, and boost student achievement.​​

Dr. Creola Washington
Dr. Washington has served the North Charleston community for over 35 years as the executive director of PROJECT LOVE, a nonprofit she founded in the early 2000s. Alongside her husband, she has uplifted the community through events like Gospel-Fest and Bright Night. As a devoted leader, Creola focuses on community engagement and plans to enhance teacher care and wellness in North Charleston schools through the Teacher Love Project in 2024-25. Her commitment to education shines through her regular school visits, where she delivers gifts, awards, and encouragement.
