Becoming the best version of myself

Change only happens with discomfort. If you are comfortable, you are not growing. The power and fear in the unknown hold us back; once we embrace it, there are beautiful things on the other side.

Your extraordinary life is in front of you; it's not behind you. What you did back there has nothing to do with what God has for you. What you did back there was learn the lessons to get you to where you are at this particular moment, right here. But what God has for you, do you know that you can mess your life entirely up, you can jack it all the way up, and you can turn around and get it right?

"Knowing others is intelligence. Knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power."

-Lao Tzu-

You have to lose your fear of failure. Failure is a part of the process; people who never fail never try. You have to fail; you have to get it wrong to get it right. You learn nothing from winning; you only learn from your failures. Warren Buffet said he won't even invest in a person's business unless they failed in two other businesses because now you know what not to do. Once you say to yourself, "I've failed more times than I have succeeded," and have learned, you are already successful.

If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them opportunities to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him the opportunity to be courageous? If someone prayed for their family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings? or does he give them opportunities to love each other?
